About this work

Orange Poppy in a Blue Garden (ป๊อปปี้สีส้มในสวนสีน้ำเงิน) is a watercolour painted in 2026 by Bunleang Dumthongsuk, a Poh-Chang-trained Thai painter known for his range of subjects and techniques, measuring 45 × 55 cm including frame, and it shows a vivid orange poppy in full bloom on a tall, slender stem, its delicate petals veined with red around a white centre, beside a coral-red bud opening from its sepals and two seed pods rising above jagged green leaves, set against flowing washes of blue, turquoise and teal like a garden bathed in cool light, the complementary contrast of orange against blue making the poppy glow while crisp white outlines around petals and leaves keep the scene sharp and fresh, presented in a gold frame with a white mat, ready to hang in a living room or bedroom or to give as a gift to any flower lover.
