About this work

Nature, Flowers and Music (ธรรมชาติดอกไม้ดนตรี) is a palette knife painting created in 1990 by Bunleang Dumthongsuk, a Poh-Chang-trained Thai painter known for his range of subjects and techniques, measuring 73 × 113 cm including frame, and it shows a classical European garden framed by Greek-style columns, with a stone urn overflowing with red, white, orange and violet flowers, an open black grand piano, a violin resting on sheet music, a metal jug, an antique globe and a small framed portrait set among green foliage under a bright sky, its thick, knife-laid paint giving the surface rich texture and depth as nature, flowers and music come together in one harmonious scene, making it an elegant classical piece for a living room, reception area or any space that calls for timeless refinement.
