About this work

When the Seasons Change (เมื่อฤดูกาลผลัดใบ) is a watercolour on paper painted in 2026 by Bunleang Dumthongsuk, a Poh-Chang-trained Thai painter known for his range of subjects and techniques, measuring 40 × 50 cm including frame, and it shows a lakeside landscape with two moods, the left side a calm stretch of yellow-green water with fresh green shrubs along the bank and a faint mountain on the horizon as birds fly past, and the right side a group of slender black-trunked trees whose leaves shift from yellow and orange through red and magenta to violet and blue, dabbed in short strokes that let the colours bleed freely into one another, capturing the moment nature turns from lush green to the colours of autumn with a feeling that is both serene and full of life, presented in a white frame with a mat, ready to hang in a living room, study or any space that calls for a bright, understated atmosphere.
