About this work

Wisteria Curtain (ม่านวิสทีเรีย) is a watercolour painted in 2026 by Bunleang Dumthongsuk, a Poh-Chang-trained Thai painter known for his range of subjects and techniques, measuring 40 × 50 cm including frame, and it shows cascading clusters of wisteria filling the picture like a curtain of flowers, shifting from magenta and rose-red at the top through bright yellow and soft lilac down to deep violet and blue-purple below, threaded with green leaves and branches trailing in from the right, the short, dabbed strokes and drops of colour bleeding freely into one another around flecks of untouched white paper so the whole scene seems to sway and shimmer with light, capturing the beauty of a wisteria tunnel in full spring bloom, presented in a black frame with a gold beaded edge and a cream mat, ready to hang in a living room or bedroom or to give as a gift to any flower lover.
