About this work
A black cat with yellow eyes hides among plants and curling patterns in deep blue and violet, a golden moon in the upper left, its body almost dissolving into the surrounding motifs. The night-time mood and the cat’s direct gaze recall local beliefs and folk tales, woven together with the layered line work typical of the artist.
