About this work
Don't Stop is a 50 × 60 cm acrylic on canvas painted in 2024 by Khun (Jakkaphan Deengam), a Bangkok street artist who has been making work in public spaces since 2022, and it shows a red-nosed brown squirrel leaping forward without hesitation through a tangle of sparking electrical cables, past a red traffic light, a high-voltage warning sign and a traffic cone, and over a tilted "STOP" sign on an olive-green ground, turning the chaotic overhead wiring of a city like Bangkok into the everyday route of a small animal and capturing the drive to keep moving even when everything around you says stop, rendered with finely detailed fur and bold street-art graphics.
