Vroom is a 30 × 40 cm acrylic on canvas painted in 2026 by Khun (Jakkaphan Deengam), a Bangkok street artist who has been making work in public spaces since 2022, and it shows a wide-eyed cartoon crocodile grinning out of a speeding red car as wind and leaves rush past, with bold cartoon lines, saturated colour and graffiti-style "VROOOM!" lettering that capture the speed, humour and restless energy of city life and bring the spirit of his wall work onto a canvas made for collecting and hanging at home.

Biography

Chakkaphan Deengam, known as Khun, is a Bangkok-based street artist. Since 2022 he has been creating work in public spaces across the city and continues to develop his practice, using urban walls and streets as a way to engage directly with the public.

Artist statement

Khun draws his core inspiration from the relationship between art and community. Watching people in different neighbourhoods stop, talk and engage with his work showed him that art can become a natural part of everyday life and of the urban landscape. His work aims to be accessible, invite community participation and capture the spirit of society at each moment in time. Khun continues to work actively in street art while developing his visual language and creative methods in greater depth and variety.
